Thoma Holz100 Canada Inc. is proud to be the representative of Thoma Holz100 in North America. This patented green building product is certainly specialized in all means of processing and engineering, giving our Holz100 buildings a very distinct look and style that also guarantees and provides our clients the highest quality of wood, health, wellbeing, safety, and lifestyle in general terms.
Because our floors are made with the same quality of wood that we make the Thoma Holz100 building system with, they are completely natural 100% pure raw wood without a trace of treatment, chemicals, toxins, or preservatives. This means no dust, no allergies, no volatile organic compounds that may prove to be harmful to our health. We guarantee the healthiest living spaces possible with natural building materials.
Moonwood harvesting allows for the wood to stand the test of time in terms of endurance, shape, form, and stability. This means that we always stay true to the knowledge that was brought down traditionally by generations of carpenters and wood workers. It is what sets our wood apart, especially from conventional ways of woodworking which over time, became impersonal and simply ‘convenient’ to not pay much attention to individual details.
Our selection of solid wooden floors also include a very special type of flooring that are made of wide planks in tree species otherwise very hard to find such as cherry tree, elm, pear tree, or sycamore maple. All of the wood in our various selection of tree species are of course, moonwood as they are all harvested during their ideal time and place so that we can provide the highest quality wood flooring.
When we think of Thoma Holz100, our floors will come to mind to those who already own or have experienced what Holz100 is like simply because it is that much memorable to finally feel the natural texture of raw wood underneath your feet – breathing and living with you. We provide a great range of variety, from inexpensive room floors ideal for children, to hardwood floors to meet your everyday needs.
You can’t get any more ‘green’ than Thoma Holz100. Not only is our product completely sustainable from forestry management to the product itself and even then, throughout its life cycle – it has numerous benefits that incredibly come from the fact that it is from pure, unadulterated wood without having added anything artificial or man-made. It’s truly a green home, and a passive house with valuable energy saving systems.
We gladly applied this new finding of thermos wood with the click system with solid wood. As many know, the click system of solid wooden flooring has been tried and tested an unconceivable amount of times. As a result, the floor has a very low height in buildup, which means that it can be laid floating. The best thing about all of this is that like all Thoma Holz100 products, has no trace of adhesives, preservatives, toxins, and chemicals.
This brings us to create and produce the thinnest solid flooring in the world through simple heating. Just like how coffee is roasted slowly, we change the wood through heating so that its behavior is very durable and consistent. We do this so that there is no change such as warping or motion at all. We now call this ‘thermo wood’ which proves to fade and swell much less compared to other conventional wooden flooring.
Not only once or twice, but many times, our clients would have existing buildings which would not be ideal for our flooring – especially apartments and substructures that would not allow flooring to exceed a given height. Hence why we have updated our solid wood flooring with innovative technology and engineering so that we can also offer solid wood flooring with all of its benefits for these special apartments and substructures as well.
Of course, with the highest quality of wood, ideal harvesting, and hours of labour put into these wooden floors – it is obvious that we would also equip it and create them with the most innovative and modern wood engineering. For twenty five years, these solid wood floors were produced in Thoma Holz100 with its specialty being non-glued, and moon harvested wood. However, with new architectural designs, we knew we had to continuously innovate.
With Thoma Holz100 solid wooden floors, you are guaranteed a product that is from a sustainably resourced forest, wood of the highest quality, and hands-on workmanship. Above that, you are also guaranteed with a very unique atmosphere that most homes or buildings won’t have due to their conventional construction. You will have Holz100 – a solid, untreated, unadulterated wooden floor in all its natural beauty.
The wisdom that we now use is that moonwood harvesting results in the most stable and durable wood, and in result making the highest quality of wood available to be used for construction. As precious pieces of wooden furniture are, Thoma Holz100 flooring hold the same value for decades, centuries, and generations. How amazing is it, that the harvesting method alone determines the quality of wood for such a long time?
What makes our floors special? We have so many ways to answer this, but what really makes them special is that we use moonwood to create our floorboards. Our sole use of moonwood allows us to reap the various benefits that moonwood harvesting brings – such as durability, longevity, and stability. We’ve learned through the wisdom that our past generations of carpenters and wood workers have brought and put them into good use.
We believe in originality, and organic products. That’s why at Thoma Holz100, all of our products including our solid wood flooring are provided with the same hands-on work and timeless workmanship which wonderfully preserves the tree’s life stories. Not only are our carpenters passionate in their work, they also carve them with joy knowing that these floors will not be tainted by chemicals, and that their work will be purely appreciated by our clients.
Trees have their own stories to tell. And so do our solid wood flooring. At Thoma Holz100, our solid wood flooring is specialized in the way that we only use one natural product which is pure wood, without toxins, chemicals, or preservatives. We ensure that every piece of wood tells it own unique story through its natural grain. Each year of life that the tree has lived, whether through joys of summer and struggles of weather, is engrained on your floors.
With solid wooden floors from Thoma Holz100, you will notice the craftsmanship and the simplicity that characterizes the passion with which our floors were created. Each individual plank, each wooden board, are all crafted from pure, raw timber with tools that were used for generations. This is why we don’t treat our products as simply materials, but a necessary part of our lives that we wish for every one of our clients to truly enjoy in their homes.
Unlike concrete or tiles, of course wooden floors are known as they age to sometimes creak and not to be smooth and even perfectly – however, that is their charm. The charm of nature, is through their traces of a long history in their joints, branches, knots, and rings is what amazes and delights us. After you experience having solid wooden floors, especially with Thoma Holz100, any other flooring will feel cold and unnaturally uniform.
It certainly does lure us in, the solid wooden floors with their texture and colour. While we familiarize with wooden floors with cottages, abbeys, farmouses, or palaces, they all delight every single one of us in a similar way. However, even better, especially in a green home or a wooden home – Thoma Holz100 flooring will feel much different than to the preserved and treated wood that we are all used to.
Thoma Holz100 Canada Inc. brings not only wooden homes that are prefabricated and sustainable, but also flooring that consists of the same high quality, standards, and specific processes of harvesting. For all of us, we can say that among all of the flooring that is available to us – wooden floors would seem to be the most intimate, inviting, and familiar to all of our senses in whatever building we enter into.
It is important for us to realize that the swiss stone pine tree is very beneficial to our principles of sustainable wood and green building. As the pine represents an all-year long perseverance whether through storms or winters, it reminds the people who live in it to take life with peace and endurance. The tree itself is a companion which conveys many lessons through its life in the mountains.
For residential buildings, the swiss stone pine is very well suited to wall claddings, wood finishings, and wood furniture. Not only is the scent useful in many ways, but the oil that it originates from protects things such as food and clothing to be protected from bacteria that can prove to be harmful. As such, for centuries our ancestors of Europe have used this advantage in their daily living.
One of Thoma Holz100’s favourite is the swiss stone pine for its scent, which is both fragrant for its inhabitants and also act as a repellant to unwanted pests and insects. Initially coloured in lighter hues, over time it becomes reddened – giving it a special visual characteristic. Especially for wood workers, or carpenters, the swiss stone pine is widely loved for its velvety and buttery texture when carved.
Although the spruce tree is not special that puts her above the others, she has a unique character which is connecting, humbling, and finds balance between everything of life. If one word was to represent her, it would be unity. Encouraging the union of extremes and differences, the spruce brings about harmony by staying upright. As such, the spruce as a building material brings security, a clear mind, and balance.
Her favourite soil is the one filled with nutrients and air which is an aftermath of preparation by its fellow trees. However, the spruce tree does not only receive, but also provides through its characteristic as a tree with shallow roots. As accompanied by its neighbouring trees which are conversely deep rooted in species, the spruce tree is much appreciated in areas of cooler climate where it also maintains the soils to be balanced.
