A prefabricated home ensures saving cost and time from construction, various toxic materials, and minimal thermal bridging. The beauty comes from the fact that it is built with Holz100, guaranteed to bring you the best building standards without compromise.

Passive house values have been deemed the most efficient way to certify any building's efficiency of energy, therefore putting all building standards into consideration. For example, it includes the measure of thermal insulation, airtightness, sustainability, and more.
Mobile homes are the perfect design for a simple prefabricated house made of cross laminated timber. Building it with high quality wood such as Holz100 will guarantee not only your health and wellbeing, but also ideal building standards such as passive house values.
Wood is one of the oldest and most versatile building materials used by humanity but it also has a large part to play in the future of health and housing. Whether it's at Credit Valley Hospital's indoor forest or children playing on the wooden deck of a house, you can always rely on Holz100 to bring the best of the best.
Responsibly sourced (and certified) timber has clear health and happiness benefits, as well as being a weapon in the struggle against climate change by both storing carbon and eliminating emissions.
These benefits are particularly important for environments where it is difficult to incorporate nature indoors, such as hospitals where strict health and safety guidelines may prevent the presence of plants, and office environments where views from the window are of roads and neighbouring concrete buildings.
The feelings of natural warmth and comfort that wood elicits in people have the effect of lowering blood pressure and heart rates, reducing stress and anxiety, increasing positive social interactions and improving corporate image.
And therefore the conclusion is that he use of wood in the interior of a building has clear physiological and psychological benefits that mimic the effect of spending time outside in nature - especially with Holz100, which is 100% pure solid wood.
With the global population growing, increasing rates of urbanization and the construction of new buildings are inevitable. If these new buildings were built with wood they would not only act as a long-term carbon store, but they would generate fewer emissions in their construction.
Furthermore innovative timber systems designed for prefabrication and disassembly allow for reuse of the timber, creating a more resource-efficient product life cycle than typical demolition and down-cycling, helping to avoid landfill waste.
Always dreamed of a mobile home? Upgrade your dream by building it with the greenest, healthiest, and safest building system, Thoma Holz100 and made complete with an entirely renewable energy source and lifetime warranty that is Tesla's Solar Roof.
Last not least, my heartfelt thanks to Iris Detenhoff who translated this, my first book into English and Gordon Pierce for his foreword. I am very grateful and excited about this dream coming true.
Next: the author's epilogue to this edition We should ask ourselves: "Where are all the people who love and enjoy those old wooden buildings with so much patina and character?"
Why are there so few architects and builders with the courage to let their buildings be coloured by the sun and weather? Money cannot be the reason here - because the sun works for free. Facades which show creases and colorations tell their own stories and observers feel the harmony between building and surrounding.
We visit open air museums and enthusiastically admire suntanned building facades. Then we drive through the countryside and look at the facades of new buildings. It is an illusion to think it could last forever when exposed to wind and weather on a daily basis. Nevertheless, there are natural ways we can use to make wood last considerably longer.
Risk of infestation by Longhorn Beetles in context to the age of the wood:
The table shows that the older the Timber/Wood, the less likely it will be attacked by the Longhorn Beetle. Should the Longhorn Beetle have established itself, there is still no need to panic! It mostly spreads when damp or infected wood has been used. By thoroughly drying and aerating stored wood and only using wood free of infestations, you can reduce the danger of the House Borer or Knock Beetle to just about zero.
To constructively protect your build, you need a trade person who appreciates this type of work. Luckily those crafts people do exist and their numbers are rising.
2) Be aware of water transportation by dry rot: There is only one, very rare exemption which can infest even very dry wood. At a later point a vapor retardant might get injured and cause damage. The best solution is a solid, homogenous wooden wall like the Holz100 system presents. Here the vapor pressure is continuously slowed down instead of suppressed by a single, vulnerable layer of foil and guarantees 100% protection from condensation moisture and fungus.
The voices of science
After we changed our manufacturing process to be absolutely chemical free, we decided to only process trees harvested at the right time. Our saw mill received mixed reactions from the scientific community and there were a number of opinions as well as the odd 'doubting Thomas'. Another version of our Thoma Holz100 finishing products is siding and paneling. They are air-dried, available in wood types of larch, fir, and spruce. Their quality can either be planed and profiled which means they are smooth edged, made for weather protection with cuff profiles, and finally is equipped with tongue and groove with chamfers. The other available quality is called the rough cut, which gives much more versatility in widths, lengths, and thicknesses.
Their dimensions also include thicknesses of 30, 50, 80mm. Upon request, they may be made 40 or 60mm thick. Our finishing materials are also special in that we are exclusive in how we cut our finishing materials from secondary tree trunk parts and butt logs. Once again, our wood has been harvested at an ideal time and place for the highest quality of wood to be made available for your new home.
There is a reason why we believe that moonwood is most certainly a natural building material – wood, in its absolute best possible form. The extensive and particular process of harvesting, manufacturing, and handling that we perform at Thoma Holz100 guarantees not just the quality of wood, but also all of the benefits that come along with it. Its endurance, its long-lasting qualities, and strength are all which are ensured.
We always recommend that not only the main house envelope be made of Thoma Holz100, but the finishing touches and the façade be made of our superior Holz100 building material as well. Moonwood makes a very strong and durable façade, as longevity and durability of any wood is incredibly important to the standards and physical function of any framework. Why should such amazing green homes be covered in sub-par materials?
Believe it or not, Thoma Holz100 Canada Inc. not only supplies the patented Thoma building systems, but other products as well! This means that every single benefit of our highest quality wood and engineering applies to every last detail of your new mobile home. We make sure that health is a major priority which is supplied by the pure, raw moonwood that we specifically use for all of our products.
