Because the Thoma Holz100 Mobile Home was inspired by such architecture, it gave us the ideal result of a modular system which will be known for its versatility. This prefabricated pure wood mobile home is able to adapt to the habits, living styles, and daily needs of its residents. Because everything is made of natural materials, it has no trace of chemicals, and as such – leaves no poison, residue, or toxins in the body.

The Thoma Holz100 Mobile Home is a very special type of natural wood architecture that grows and also shrinks with the required design and living space for the ultimate versatile building material and system. As a model for the Holz100 Mobile Home, it was not anything fancy or over-the-top – it was the architecture created from clay of the earth by the North American Pueblo Indians.
And now, in Maria’s farm, stands the very first Thoma Holz100 Mobile Home. Built in August 2016, in the future a small settlement is planned to be grown around the farm. Maria’s herbs will continue to be cultivated, and the farm revived. As the mobile home came prefabricated, the compact yet efficient residential space was ready in a matter of hours. Newly developed, the mobile home made of raw, pure wood – it stands at the center of gardens and agriculture.
Her gardens were not planned or anything, especially the connection garden – it just happened to be there, which makes it even more endearing for her. Her daughter had always asked her what she would do with the farm, as she also loved the farm very much. At a roadshow called the “greencare projects”, where from there, an invitation came forth and soon, an inspector came to see if the farm was suitable.
In Carinthia, Austria, there is a beautiful old farm owned by Maria. She knew she had to make a special garden, but didn’t know how – she even had a gardener create a plan for her, but had put it away immediately because it did not feel like her garden although it was beautifully designed. She has her own herb garden, a farmhouse garden, and a strip throughout the gardens called the ‘connection garden’ as it connects everything together.
The Thoma Holz100 Mobile Home is prefabricated, pure wooden components which is made efficient as a residential unit that must be seen and felt by all human senses to fully enjoy and absorb its beauty. Now available in North America, the Single Module of 18 square meters, the Double Unit of 35 square meters, and finally the Triple Module of 54 square meters – the Thoma Holz100 Mobile Home stands as the best in sustainability, safety, and health of its inhabitants.
The Thoma Holz100 Mobile Home was created according to Leopold Kohr’s philosophy which states that “small is beautiful”. We are convinced as such that in order to create a more humane world, we should build wooden houses made very simple to revolve our lives around the little things. Such as the first Holz100 Mobile Home built in Austria which revived an old farm that held dear to Maria created in a matter of hours.
With three attachments, there is even more space and space for individual desires and you can fully enjoy yourself in a small house. We and our partners support you in the design of a very personal life-dream and then implement it for you. There are no limits to the imagination! Luxury with 54 m² of living space. All prices are net. The construction costs, the costs for the land development and the construction are not taken into account.
You can also combine the individual modules. The kitchen module by LOHBERGER with a built-in wash basin, a work surface and a stove with wood operation ensures a warming effect in winter. The ELASAS infrared panels provide an automatic and comfortable temperature control, making this option not too big or small with high quality kitchen and bathroom appliances. This Thoma Holz100 Mobile Home is perfect for a young married couple.
Thoma Holz100 Mobile Homes are built without a construction site. Healthy living without absolutely any detriment. It is quite natural for us to transfer the "purity of the wood" to all other materials. The design is about the core, we reduce where it is, but the highest quality. In personal contact with local companies, we offer the possibility to get everything from one source to the finished furniture.
The pure single module is ideal for your idea in a room. The smallest version of our Thoma Holz100 Mobile Homes comes with wooden windows, windows, doors and roof. All the necessary cables for the electrics in the wall elements are controlled internally according to individual planning. The power supply is via an external connection. Set up, set up and ready! Of course there is also the bathroom and the kitchen to the living.
The individual modules fit exactly on a truck. In the workshops of us or our partners, not only the wooden walls are mounted, but also many other trades are carried out at the same time. In the meantime, everything is being prepared at the construction site, so that everything goes on fast on the big day of delivery. With the crane, the modules are lifted off the truck, they follow a few minor connections and after a day you can move in.
Any kind of extension is possible in the modular system of Holz100. The mobility has been developed for people who want to go new ways. Adds a module or changes the location. Develop your living space as your life evolves! Just as varied and diverse as life is, we also do not hide from a solution, but have the pleasure of always discovering something new. The underlying ground plans therefore serve as a stimulus.
An architecture that grows with its inhabitants and diminishes. It adapts to the needs of the residents and leaves no traces. There will be no residue or puddles in the body and soil because everything consists of natural material. The Mobile is made of Thoma Holz100 - lunar phase-harvested wood without glue, without wood preservative, without varnish. And she grows and walks with you through your daily life.
The philosopher Leopold Kohr was convinced that we had to structure our lives according to the ideal of smallness in order to create a more humane world. Under this star stands the wooden furniture. During the development, our goal was to combine living health and sustainability in a grounded layout that was reduced to a significant extent. The clay architecture of the North American Pueblo Indians served as a model.
Only one of its kind, our one variant of Thoma Holz100 flat roof construction is named “Construction DA03” with a u-value of 0.17. From top to bottom, its layers include: gravel (5.0 cm), roof waterproofing membrane (0.3 cm), soft wood fibre pitch insulation (12.0 cm), soft wood fibre panel vapour barrier (10.0 cm), and Thoma H100-DE21 (21.2 cm) in a complete structure which amounts to 48.5 cm in total width.
If a sheet metal covering is preferred over roof tiles, then the Thoma Holz100 “Construction DA02” will be ideal. Its layers top to bottom consist of a sheet metal covering, rough shuttering (2.4cm), ventilation/ counter battens (8cm), soft wood fibre – water-bearing layer (2.2cm), soft wood fibre (14cm), and the Thoma H100-DA21 (21.2cm) for a total of 47.8cm complete structure with a U-value of 0.16 as well.
Pre-designated pitched roof constructions are also available, with the first one named “Construction DA01”. Its layers from top to bottom include roof tiles, roof battens (4cm), counter battens (8cm), soft wood fibre – water-bearing layer (2.2cm), soft wood fibre (14cm), and finally Thoma H100-DA21 (21.2cm) for a complete structure with a width of 49.4cm and a U-value of 0.16.
Lastly, the “Construction DE03” is the least thickest out of all Thoma Holz100 inserted ceilings, amounting to only 31.6cm – however efficient in function. The layers from top to bottom include Thoma solid wood floorboards, interlocking soft wood fibre boards, soft wood fibre, and the Thoma H100-DE21. Although the ratios shown on the parts catalogue is recommended, it can be done with other Thoma Holz100 wall system variants.
The “Construction DE02” Thoma Holz100 inserted ceilings are also used with the standard Thoma H100-DE21 but is created to support the usage of floor tiles. From top to bottom, respectively, it consists of floor tiles, screed (which can be substituted for thicker, heated screed), separating layer, impact sound insulation, filler, trickle protection sheet, and Thoma H100-DE21 which results in a complete structure 40.2cm in width.
Our inserted ceilings are designated as “Construction DE01”, which includes from top to bottom: Thoma Holz100 solid wood floorboards, interlocking soft wood fibre boards, soft wood fibre, fillers, trickle protection sheet, and Thoma H100-DE21, resulting in a complete structure that is 37.6cm thick in width. Cross sections are available to be reviewed in our parts catalog PDF. Accessible through our website, under the resources and downloads section.
Thoma Holz100 Roof systems are, in function, ideal to the rest of Thoma Holz systems – featuring core layers of 6.0cm, 8.0cm and thickest with a doubled top and bottom waler of 7.7 each. Not only do they support span widths, snow loads, etc., they can also be maximized in their potential of heat insulation as well by inserting wood fiber insulation or any other insulating materials, of course recommended to consist of natural insulating fibers.
Our roof systems are also quite simple in that they also consist of four or five layers, and three variants which are created according to the type of usage required. For example, the thinnest roof system at 17cm is to be used for usual span widths and small snow loads. Next is 19cm in width, meant for usual span widths and increased snow loads. Lastly, the thickest roof system at 21.2cm is used for large span widths or large snow loads.
Thoma Holz100 ceilings and roof parts both consist of 70-80mm walers and wooden board layers in between. Our ceiling systems are designated in the code, H100-DE, and the types of wood that are available are spruce, fir, pine, and larch which are also the general recommended type of wood for all of Holz100 building systems as they are proven through testing and wood engineering as the ideal types of wood for their intended use.
Thoma Holz100 Ceiling systems (DE) are able to function as ceilings and/or dividing components between floors depending on which system is chosen. Our ceiling-use only systems are much more simpler in composition with thicknesses varying between 17.6cm and 21.2cm of three or four layers respectively. Their fitting directions are in single-axis toward walers which are 7.7cm for both bottom and top walers.
